What it smells like

Pernoire Luvani is an amber floral fragrance inspired by the moonflower, a night-blooming white flower that opens after dark and stays open until first light. It begins with a moonflower accord that feels creamy and luminous, joined by jasmine and tuberose, two of perfumery's richest white flowers. A thread of incense runs through the opening, adding a soft, resinous shadow that makes the florals feel nocturnal rather than simply pretty.

In the heart, vanilla brings smooth warmth, guaiac wood adds a gentle smoky-woody tone, and nutmeg contributes a quiet spice. The house also lists hazelnut leaves, a green, slightly nutty nuance, and a bouquet of white flowers that keeps the composition radiant. The balance of creamy vanilla and white florals is the core of Luvani: elegant, soft and enveloping.

The base settles on cedarwood, olibanum and white rose, with Ambrostar, an ambery material, adding a warm, diffusive glow. Olibanum, another name for frankincense, echoes the incense of the opening, while cedarwood gives a clean, dry frame. As a new extrait de parfum in Pernoire's Odus line, made at 30% concentration, Luvani is built for long wear and a refined, lingering trail.

Who made it

Luvani was composed by Andreas Wilhelm, the Swiss perfumer credited on every fragrance in Pernoire's current range. Wilhelm trained at Givaudan and Luzi and has run his own Zurich studio, Wilhelm Perfume, since 2008. He develops Pernoire's fragrances together with founders Robin Dünner and Nico Mannino.

The house describes Luvani as elegance that never asks for attention but reveals itself through silence, shadow and perfect timing, like the moonflower itself. Its name is derived from moonflower and vanilla, and the bottle carries a crescent-moon symbol. Luvani is Pernoire's newest release, launched in 2026.

Pernoire is an independent Swiss niche perfume house founded in Basel in 2020 by childhood friends Robin Dünner and Nico Mannino. The house believes a perfume should express a personality, so every fragrance begins with a scene or character and bears a line-drawn symbol on its bottle.
