BDK Parfums

BDK Parfums is a French niche perfume house founded in 2016 by David Benedek in Paris. The initials BDK come from the founder’s name — a young Parisian who is heir to three generations of French perfumery — and the maison has built its reputation on character-driven eaux de parfum that read like short stories told in scent. Every concentrate is composed and produced in Grasse, the historic heart of French perfumery, then bottled in BDK’s signature heavy glass flacon with its rounded black cap.

The house is organised into four collections. Collection Parisienne captures the moods of Paris — from the smoky sweetness of Rouge Smoking to the skin-warm sensuality of Gris Charnel, one of the most celebrated niche fragrances of the last decade. Collection Matières explores single materials in depth, as in Tubéreuse Impériale, Oud Abramad and Velvet Tonka. Collection Azur is BDK’s brighter, Mediterranean line, while Collection Exclusive gathers its richest, most concentrated compositions.

Stylistically, BDK sits firmly in modern niche territory: refined, wearable and materials-led, favouring musks, ambers, woods, tobacco, rose and gourmand accords over loud designer clichés. The fragrances are unisex-leaning and priced as accessible niche luxury. Perfumers who have worked with the house include Alexandra Carlin, Violaine Collas, Sidonie Lancesseur and Serge Majoullier.
