Lost In Vanillatopia is the newest fragrance from Iggywoo, released in 2026 and composed by the house's founder Richard Saint-Ford, and it is an amber-vanilla eau de parfum that wears far closer to a skin musk than the name suggests.
What it smells like
It opens on damask rose and grapefruit, which is not a pairing you expect from a vanilla. The grapefruit is tart rather than sweet and the rose is dark and jammy, and together they give the first few minutes a brightness that disappears fairly quickly. Do not judge the fragrance on this stage; it is a doorway, not the room.
The body is amber, tonka bean and honeysuckle. The honeysuckle is the interesting one — it brings a nectar sweetness that is floral rather than sugary, and it keeps the amber from going heavy. The house built the whole thing around a fantasy accord it calls Solar-Amber-Musk, and this middle stretch is where you can smell what they meant: warm, golden, slightly powdery, with no bakery register at all.
Then it settles into musk, skin musk and vanilla, and stays there for hours. The community accord ranking puts musky at the top by a clear distance, ahead of vanilla, powdery and amber, and that order tells you most of what you need to know. This is a musk with a vanilla in it, not the reverse.
Who it's for
For anyone who wants to wear vanilla without smelling like dessert. The big sweet vanillas have their place, but this is the alternative for people who find them cloying after twenty minutes.
It is also a strong pick if you already like skin musks and soft ambers and want something with a little more warmth. The vanilla never disappears, but it is wrapped rather than displayed.
Honestly on performance: projection is moderate for the first hour and then it moves close to the skin, where it lasts a long time. This is not a fragrance that fills a room, and if that is what you are shopping for, look elsewhere. What it does instead is reward someone standing near you, which is a different and arguably better trick.
Cold weather is its season. The amber and tonka have more body in cool air, and the musk base clings to a coat collar in a way it will not to bare skin in August. Evening more than day, and particularly good for dinners, dates and close-quarters occasions. It is the highest-rated fragrance in the Iggywoo line on Fragrantica, which for a house this young is worth noting.
