Cherry Love Extreme is an amber-spicy eau de parfum from Iggywoo, composed by founder Richard Saint-Ford, and it is a cherry fragrance in which the cherry is deliberately the third thing you notice.
What it smells like
Pink pepper and clove open it, dry and sharp and a little medicinal. If you came expecting cherry cola you will be surprised within seconds — this is a spice opening, and an assertive one. The cherry is present underneath from the start, but it reads as dark fruit rather than as candy.
The heart brings rose and violet. The house uses its own rose accord, and together with the lingering clove it gives the middle an almost apothecary character: slightly dusty, faintly bitter, old-fashioned in a way that feels deliberate rather than dated. The violet adds a powdery edge that stops the spice becoming harsh.
The base is where the weight is. Patchouli, amber, ambroxan and musk make for an earthy, resinous drydown with real staying power, and the patchouli in particular is prominent — the community ranks it second only to warm spicy, ahead of the cherry itself. The full accord order runs warm spicy, patchouli, cherry, musky and woody, which is a good map of how it actually wears.
One piece of history worth knowing: this was released in 2024 as Love Extreme and renamed Cherry Love Extreme by the house in 2026. It is the same composition, so older reviews under the previous name still apply to the bottle you will receive.
Who it's for
For anyone tired of sweet cherry. The category has been dominated by cherry-liqueur and cherry-cola treatments for years, and this is the spiced, patchouli-heavy counter-argument.
It will make immediate sense if you already wear warm spicy or patchouli-forward fragrances, or if you like dark roses. If your taste runs to fresh and light, this is not the Iggywoo for you — try Bohemian Water instead.
On performance, this is the heaviest hitter in the range: the strongest projection and the longest wear of anything the house makes. Apply with more restraint than you think you need. It is emphatically not an office fragrance.
Cold weather is where it belongs. The patchouli and amber want cool air; in summer heat the clove becomes insistent and the whole thing can tip into too much. Autumn and winter evenings, dinners, special occasions — occasions where being noticed is the intention.
