What it smells like

Pernoire Yuma is a cool, clear woody aromatic fragrance built around mint and yuzu. It opens with Swiss mint and peppermint, giving an immediate, bracing freshness that feels more like crushed green leaves than toothpaste. Yuzu, the fragrant Japanese citrus, adds a sharp, floral-tart brightness, and bergamot brings a familiar, elegant citrus polish. In the base, dry amber, vetiver, musk and patchouli give Yuma its grounding. Who made it

Yuma was composed by Andreas Wilhelm, the Swiss perfumer credited on every fragrance in Pernoire's current range. Based in Zurich, Wilhelm trained at Givaudan and Luzi before founding his own studio, Wilhelm Perfume, in 2008. For Pernoire he works closely with founders Robin Dünner and Nico Mannino to translate each story into scent.

Yuma's story is about balance: feeling calm, anchored and aware, like the Swiss Alps rising above the clouds while remaining rooted in the earth. Its name is short for yuzu and mint, and the bottle carries a line drawing of a mountain. Yuma was released in 2026.
