Hamid Merati-Kashani
Hamid Merati-Kashani is the principal perfumer of the Australian house Goldfield & Banks. A classically trained nose, he has spent his career working with the world’s great fragrance suppliers, and for Goldfield & Banks he has become the interpreter of a singular vision: translating native Australian botanicals into wearable luxury perfumery.
Working under the creative direction of founder Dimitri Weber, he has composed many of the house’s signatures, from the aromatic-aquatic Pacific Rock Moss and the fruity Sunset Hour to the opulent Silky Woods, often building world-first accords around materials like Australian sandalwood, finger lime, blue cypress and red-back ginger. His style balances bold, natural raw materials with polished, refined structures that wear beautifully.
