Tales of Amber is a modern ambergris perfume, presented as an Extrait de Parfum, that reimagines the elemental beauty of nature. It opens with airy orange blossom and a mineral touch of oakmoss.

The heart builds warmth and body, with powdery orris, soft musk, cinnamon and rich labdanum. The base is the heart of the story: rare New Zealand ambergris fused with the iconic De Laire Amber 83 accord (labdanum and vanillin) alongside agarwood, for a balsamic, salty-warm, deeply textured drydown. It is exotic and abyssal — amber rendered elemental, radiant and long-lasting.

Goldfield & Banks fragrances are composed by Hamid Merati-Kashani, the house’s principal perfumer, working under the creative direction of founder Dimitri Weber. A classically trained nose who has spent his career with the world’s leading fragrance suppliers, Merati-Kashani has become the interpreter of a singular brief: to translate native Australian botanicals — sandalwood, boronia, finger lime, blue cypress, red-back ginger — into wearable luxury, often building world-first accords around materials no one had used in fine perfumery before. His signature balances bold, natural raw materials with polished, refined structures that wear beautifully.
