Description
What it smells like
Casa Blanca evokes a serene white temple among coastal Mediterranean fig trees. It opens airy and mineral, with white tea, cool mineral notes and a resinous touch of labdanum.
The heart is the star: smoky, milky fig wrapped in soft white suede and aromatic copal resin. The base is deep and contemplative, with tobacco, bourbon vanilla and a whisper of oud. It is a philosophic, smoky fig-and-tobacco woody — impeccable, textured and calming.
The full composition runs from top notes of White Tea, Mineral Notes, Labdanum, through a heart of Fig, Suede, Copal, to a base of Tobacco, Vanilla, Oud — a woody built to unfold slowly and wear close to the skin. The parfum is housed in House of Bō's signature bottle, finished with a hand-cut, semi-precious stone cap chosen to mirror the mood of the scent.
On skin its principal accords — Woody, Smoky, Amber, Sweet and Green — layer into a rounded, characterful whole, and as a parfum-strength concentration it is built for rich projection and long wear. It is offered here in both a 40 ml and a larger 75 ml bottle.
As founder Bernardo Möller describes it: “Casa Blanca is a harmonious blend of creamy minerals with white elements, perfectly textured with exquisite smoky fig notes that make this fragrance a love at first smell.”
Who made it
This parfum was composed by Frank Voelkl, a German-born, US-based senior perfumer at Firmenich. He is best known as the nose behind Le Labo Santal 33 — one of the most influential niche fragrances of the modern era — as well as widely loved creations such as Glossier You. His signatures are radiant, skin-like woods and musks and immediately recognisable, comfortable-to-wear structures, and he is celebrated for turning distinctive raw materials into modern classics with broad, lasting appeal.
For House of Bō, Frank shaped Casa Blanca as a bold, artistic parfum that translates this pedigree into the house's tropical, Latin-inflected style.
Who it’s for
For lovers of smoky, milky fig and refined woods who want something serene and sophisticated. Fully unisex.
It suits admirers of smoky, textured woody compositions who want presence and artistry without heaviness, and its confident character reads beautifully on any wearer; fully unisex.
When to wear it
Wearable year-round but especially good in autumn, winter and cooler evenings; its smoky fig and tobacco warm beautifully.
It is wearable year-round but especially rewarding in cooler weather and from day into evening, at ease in the office, on evenings out and on occasions that call for a little gravity.
About the house
House of Bō is a contemporary niche perfume house founded by Bernardo Möller, its Founder and Creative Director. Its signature DNA is rooted in simplicity, minimalism and spirituality, and it collaborates with some of the world's most accomplished perfumers to create bold, artistic parfums that pair fine materials with a tropical, Latin-inflected sensibility. Each fragrance is presented in a distinctive bottle crowned with a hand-finished, semi-precious stone cap chosen to echo the character of the scent, making the collection as beautiful to display as it is to wear. The house's collection spans fresh citrus, lush florals, plush gourmands and smoky woods, each conceived as a distinct olfactory world. At Redolia Perfumery every House of Bō parfum is offered as a full bottle in two sizes, 40 ml and 75 ml.
