Bon Parfumeur 502 Iris Cartagena Extrait de Parfum
Description
What it smells like
502 Iris Cartagena Extrait de Parfum deepens Bon Parfumeur's iris-and-cocoa fragrance with coffee, rum and chocolates—the scent of an intimate summer dinner under the stars. It opens rich and enveloping, with Antilles rum and West African cocoa lifted by petitgrain and mandarin.
The heart is plush and powdery: Moroccan iris meets Indian sandalwood, vanilla and creamy cedar, a buttery, almost edible accord that feels warm and intimate. The base is where the extrait concentration earns its keep — sugar cane sweetness, dry Indian papyrus, Indonesian vetiver and a generous pour of Ethiopian and Ivory Coast coffee create a woody, roasted, long-lasting trail. It’s gourmand and sophisticated in equal measure.
Who made it
The 502 Iris Cartagena Extrait was composed by French perfumer Clément Marx. Where his Eau de Parfum is fresher and more aerated, here he leans into richness and texture — balancing cocoa, rum and coffee against dry woods and papyrus so the fragrance stays refined rather than sugary, at full extrait strength.
Who it’s for
This is for gourmand connoisseurs who want depth, projection and hours of wear — anyone who loves cocoa, coffee and iris rendered in a grown-up, unisex way. If the EDP is the everyday version, the Extrait is the one for when you want to make an impression.
When to wear it
The Extrait is a cold-weather and evening scent above all — autumn and winter nights, dinners, special occasions and moments when a warm, lingering sillage is the point. Its richness makes it a luxurious choice when the temperature drops.
About the house
Bon Parfumeur is an independent French perfume house founded in Paris in 2017 by Ludovic Bonneton. Its Extrait de Parfum line concentrates the brand’s numbered compositions into their richest, longest-lasting form. 502 Iris Cartagena Extrait de Parfum is offered here at Redolia Perfumery as a full 100 ml bottle.
Fragrance Notes
What's the difference between accords and notes?
Accords are the overall scent families a fragrance gives off — its character at a glance. Notes are the individual ingredients you smell as it develops, from the first spritz (top) to the lasting dry-down (base).
