What It Smells Like

Initio Power Self is a clean floral musk fragrance with white rose and magnolia. Launched in 2025 in the Hedonist collection, it is an extrait de parfum that the house describes as a unisex woody floral designed to support confidence and wellbeing.

The opening is a single listed note, pink pepper, which is rosy and lightly spicy and gives the first minutes a fresh, slightly sparkling feel.

The heart is a white bouquet: white rose, magnolia, osmanthus and white flowers. White rose is lighter and greener than a red rose, magnolia is creamy and lemony, and osmanthus adds a faint apricot-and-suede nuance. Together they smell like fresh petals, soft and clean, with no heaviness.

The base is musk, ambrox and cedarwood. Ambrox is a mineral amber material that gives a smooth, radiant trail, and with the musk it creates the skin-like warmth that defines the drydown. When to Wear It

Fragrantica voters place it clearly in spring and summer, with day almost four times ahead of night. It is a warm-weather, daylight fragrance.

Initio Parfums Privés launched in Paris in 2015 with an unusual premise: that scent acts on mood and attraction before we consciously register it.
