L'Epoque Parfums
L'Epoque Parfums is an American niche fragrance house founded in 2025 by Rachel Green, who spent close to fifteen years in beauty and management consulting, including work with Too Faced and Estée Lauder, before starting her own brand. The name comes from the French for era, and the whole house is built on a simple argument: most people no longer wear one signature scent for life, they wear a fragrance for a chapter and then move on.
That idea shows up in the format. Every L'Epoque fragrance is sold in a 30 ml bottle rather than the usual 100 ml, priced at $125, and presented as a deliberate choice rather than a travel size. Each scent begins as an emotional state instead of a marketing brief, which is why the names read like feelings: the addictive brightness of being seen, the softness of returning to yourself, the beauty of not being able to separate what you love from what you fear.
The compositions are made with established industry perfumers. Elena Valdivieso Ruiz of Robertet, based in New York, created Dopamine Rose, Inner Child and Dreams and Nightmares, while Serotonin Spritz was composed by the IFF master perfumers Carlos Benaïm and Laurent Le Guernec. All L'Epoque fragrances are vegan and cruelty-free, and all are listed as unisex.
What to try: Dopamine Rose for a sweet, fruity modern rose, Inner Child for clean linen and soft florals, Serotonin Spritz for a grapefruit-and-tequila summer scent, or Dreams and Nightmares for wet earth, patchouli and petrichor.
