L'Epoque Parfums Serotonin Spritz Eau de Parfum
Description
What it smells like
L'Epoque Serotonin Spritz is a bright, effervescent aromatic citrus built to smell like a good day that started late. The opening is grapefruit and pomelo zest with pink pepper: juicy and tart, with a bitter citrus-peel edge and a peppery crackle that keeps the fruit from reading as sweet. It has the quality of a cold drink in strong sunlight.
The heart is what makes it interesting. A tequila accord brings a boozy, green-vegetal agave bite, thyme and geranium add herbal and rosy-aromatic depth, and cassis leaf contributes a sharp blackcurrant-leaf greenness. Together they turn a simple citrus opening into something closer to a cocktail on a terrace: aromatic, slightly salty and more grown-up than the first spray suggests.
The base stays light on purpose. A watery musk keeps everything transparent, cedarwood adds a dry woody spine, and amber gives a faint warmth underneath. This is an eau de parfum at 20% concentration, and the house is candid that it is the shortest-lived scent in the range at roughly four hours on skin, longer on fabric. Treat it as a fragrance to reapply rather than one that lasts all day; the trade-off is a freshness that never turns heavy or sour.
Who made it
Serotonin Spritz was composed by two IFF master perfumers, Carlos Benaïm and Laurent Le Guernec. Benaïm has one of the most decorated careers in the industry, with landmark work including Polo Ralph Lauren, Eternity for Men and Prada Luna Rossa. Le Guernec, a French-American senior perfumer based in New York, is known for fresh, radiant, precisely balanced compositions.
Having two perfumers of that background on a citrus-aromatic is telling: the structure here is conventional in the best sense, with the tequila accord and cassis leaf providing the twist. Serotonin Spritz launched in 2026 as the house's summer release, built around the idea of peak summer happiness that you stay inside rather than question.
Who it’s for
This is for anyone who loves grapefruit and citrus fragrances, and for people who find most fresh scents too generic. The agave and herbal notes give it personality without making it difficult. It is fully unisex, and it suits both people who want an easy warm-weather scent and those who enjoy boozy accords.
If you need all-day performance from a single application, this is not the bottle to pick. If you like the ritual of a quick refresh and want something genuinely uplifting, it earns its place.
When to wear it
Serotonin Spritz is made for summer and warm spring days, worn during daylight. It is excellent for holidays, beach days, brunches, travel and outdoor plans, and its clean brightness makes it easy in the office too.
It also works for early evenings and casual dinners in hot weather, when richer fragrances feel like too much. In cold weather the citrus loses its point, so it is best kept as a seasonal pleasure. Spray generously and consider applying to a shirt collar, since the house notes it lasts longer on fabric than on skin.
About the house
L'Epoque Parfums is an American niche house founded in 2025 by Rachel Green, who came to perfumery after close to fifteen years in beauty and management consulting. The name means era in French, and the brand is built on the belief that a fragrance belongs to a chapter of your life rather than all of it. Each scent is sold in a 30 ml bottle at $125 as a deliberate choice of format, and every fragrance in the range is vegan and cruelty-free. L'Epoque Parfums Serotonin Spritz Eau de Parfum is available at Redolia Perfumery as a full 30 ml bottle.
Fragrance Notes
What's the difference between accords and notes?
Accords are the overall scent families a fragrance gives off — its character at a glance. Notes are the individual ingredients you smell as it develops, from the first spritz (top) to the lasting dry-down (base).
