Hind Al Oud

Hind Al Oud is a luxury Arabian perfume house from the United Arab Emirates, founded in 2001 and part of the Mohamed Hilal Group. Over two decades it has become one of the Gulf's most recognisable names in modern oud perfumery, and one of the few Arabian houses that translates cleanly for Western wearers — the heritage materials are all there, but the compositions are structured to be worn daily rather than ceremonially.

If you are new to Arabian perfumery, the key difference is concentration and intent. Gulf houses build around oud — the resinous, smoky heartwood of agarwood, one of the most expensive raw materials on earth — and pair it with rose, saffron, amber and musk at strengths that Western designer perfumery rarely attempts. The result projects further, lasts longer, and is meant to leave a trail that announces you before you arrive.

The house's range runs from serious oud parfums to luminous florals and soft radiant musks, so it is not all smoke and leather. Presentation is part of the appeal: ornate faceted-crystal flacons, jewelled caps and a gold medallion carrying the house's oryx emblem.
