Description
The Essential Parfums Nice Bergamote Hand Cream is a 50 ml cream built on Antoine Maisondieu's Nice Bergamote, the citrus that launched the house in 2018. Two bergamots do the work at the top — a Calabrian bergamot alongside an Orpur bergamot extract — over jasmine grandiflora and ylang-ylang from the Comoros, with cedarwood and Venezuelan tonka bean underneath.
On the hands it reads bright and clean rather than sharp. The citrus lasts longer than you would expect from a cream, because the tonka and cedar hold it down, and it fades into something soft and faintly floral rather than disappearing.
It absorbs quickly and is not greasy, which matters for a hand cream you reapply through the day. If you wear citrus fragrances, it layers without fighting them; if you do not, it works on its own as a discreet way to smell good at a desk.
