What's inside

Four full-strength 10 ml eau de parfum sprays in a crafted presentation box. At 10 ml each you get enough to wear a fragrance for a fortnight rather than a single test, which is the only honest way to judge perfumes this rich — the Sapphire compositions tend to run on oud, amber, resins and leather, and they change considerably between the first ten minutes and the fourth hour.

About the house

Boadicea The Victorious is a British luxury niche house, founded in London in 2008 and named after Boudica, the warrior queen of the Iceni. Every fragrance is eau de parfum concentration in heavy Celtic-inspired glass with a pewter collar and a coloured cabochon jewel, and the Sapphire tier sits at the top of the range. Full bottles from this line run several hundred dollars, which is what makes a four-piece travel set worth having.
