Lorenzo Pazzaglia

Lorenzo Pazzaglia is an Italian perfumer and the founder of PAX by Lorenzo Pazzaglia, the artistic perfumery house he established in 2021. He is the sole author of the range, which is unusual even in niche perfumery — most independent houses brief an outside nose, while here the founder and the perfumer are the same person.

The house produces entirely by hand in Italy and works at a high concentration of perfume oil, which is the technical reason its fragrances project strongly and last as long as they do. That choice defines the style more than any single material does: these are loud, confident compositions rather than quiet ones, and they are built to be noticed in a room.

The range is organised into themed collections rather than released one bottle at a time — among them Exclusive, Self Portrait, Sea, Vanilla, Gourmand, Love & Passion, Cocktail and Cherry. The gourmand and cherry work is what the house is best known for, with sweet, edible accords handled at full strength instead of being softened for mass appeal.
