Francis Kurkdjian

Francis Kurkdjian is one of the most celebrated perfumers of his generation, a French nose whose work spans his own acclaimed house and a long list of prestige creations for many of the world's great fragrance names. For the Parisian house Indult he composed the original 2006 trio that first made the brand's name — most famously Tihota, a pure, honeyed Tahitian-vanilla that became a global cult classic and a benchmark for the entire genre.

His Indult work also includes Isvaraya, a smoky patchouli-and-jasmine ode to spiritual India, and the creamy lychee floral Manakara.
