Creed

Creed is one of the oldest names in perfumery, established in 1760 and run by the same family for seven generations. It began in London as a tailoring house that made scented gloves and fragrances for its clients, counted European courts among them, and moved to Paris in the twentieth century. Very few houses can claim that continuity, and it remains the foundation of the brand's standing.

The house style rests on high-quality naturals and small-batch production. Creed's signature is a certain transparency — fruit, green notes and citrus that stay bright rather than turning syrupy, set over clean woods and ambergris-style musks. It is why the fragrances read as expensive even to people who cannot name a single note.

Olivier Creed, the sixth-generation master perfumer, led the house for decades and created much of its modern canon before his death in May 2026. His son Erwin Creed, the seventh generation, now carries the creative direction forward, having co-created Aventus alongside his father and signed later releases including Aventus Cologne and Viking.
