Attar Al Has

Attar Al Has is a niche perfume house from Istanbul, established in 2021, that sits deliberately between two traditions. Its materials come from the Middle Eastern palette — oud, rose, amber, saffron, vanilla — but the compositions are structured with the restraint of modern European perfumery, and the house works with named international perfumers rather than composing anonymously.

Everything is made at extrait de parfum strength. That matters more than it sounds: extrait carries a far higher share of perfume oil than an eau de parfum, so the fragrance sits closer to the skin, unfolds more slowly, and holds its shape through the day instead of thinning out after the opening. It is the format that suits heavy naturals like oud, which need concentration to read properly.

The range spans more ground than the Arabian label suggests — gourmand, floral, leather and chypre all appear — so it rewards browsing rather than assuming. What ties it together is density: these are built for depth and presence, not for whispering.

Presentation follows the Eastern tradition, with ornate faceted flacons crowned by a jewelled cap and the house's AH monogram crest.
