Unique'e Luxury is an independent fragrance house that describes itself as Turkish-American and dates its founding to 2017. Its defining decision is concentration: every release is an extrait de parfum, with no eau de parfum tier beneath it. Redolia stocks 19 of them, from $229 for 50 ml to $419 for 100 ml.
The story of Unique'e Luxury
Most houses build a range and then add an extrait tier on top for the fragrances that earn it. This one started at the top and stayed there. The house puts it plainly on its own site: "Every Unique'e Luxury fragrance is created as an Extrait de Parfum, allowing each composition to reveal its richness, depth and personality." Extrait is the highest standard concentration in perfumery, typically 20 to 40 percent aromatic compound against the 15 to 20 percent of an eau de parfum, and it is printed on every label.
The house describes itself as "an independent Turkish-American fragrance house with a clear idea at its heart: to create perfumes with a character of their own", and on its origins, "With roots in Türkiye and an outlook shaped by different cultures." That shows up in the naming more than in the compositions — Istanbul, Izmir and Akdeniz, the Turkish name for the Mediterranean, sit alongside Beverly Hills Exclusive and Chocolate Makes Me Happy.
On what it is trying not to be, the house is equally direct: "Rather than following passing trends, we create fragrances for people who are drawn to something less expected." What surprised us when the testers arrived was how literally that reads on skin. Pear against coffee in Hidden Accords, lime into caramel in Crush On Me, pimento against coconut in D'olcezza — these are odd pairings, and they are the house's actual signature rather than the marketing.

Every Unique'e Luxury fragrance we carry, explained
Unique'e Luxury Istanbul (2018)
Citrus, cilantro and black tea open it, grape, neroli and jasmine follow, and pink pepper, geranium, musk, vanilla and toffee close. The tea keeps the toffee from turning into dessert. Unique'e Luxury Istanbul — $249 / 100 ml
Unique'e Luxury Izmir (2018)
Citrus, bergamot, lemon and mandarin over pineapple, rose, orris and clove, landing on tonka bean, vanilla, patchouli, sandalwood and oakmoss. Oakmoss makes it a real chypre rather than a fruity. Unique'e Luxury Izmir — $249 / 100 ml
Unique'e Luxury Chypre Toscano (2018)
Violet, thyme, lavender and saffron, then clove, cinnamon, black tea and leather, then styrax, cedarwood, patchouli, musk, olibanum and vanilla. Darker and drier than Izmir. Unique'e Luxury Chypre Toscano — $249 / 100 ml
Unique'e Luxury Aphrodisiac Touch (2018)
Bergamot, lily-of-the-valley, lilac, saffron and clove over cinnamon, cardamom, rose, geranium and cedarwood, finishing on patchouli, orris, sandalwood, musk, amber and vanilla. Spiced florals, and the house's biggest seller by stock held. Unique'e Luxury Aphrodisiac Touch — $249 / 100 ml
Unique'e Luxury Hidden Accords (2018)
Pink pepper and orange blossom, then pear and coffee, then jasmine, vanilla, patchouli and cedarwood. Pear against coffee is the unusual pairing here. Unique'e Luxury Hidden Accords — $249 / 100 ml
Unique'e Luxury Akdeniz (2019)
Marine, lemon, grapefruit, lavandin and thyme, then apple, pineapple, myrtle, white floral and patchouli, then cedarwood, sandalwood, amber, leather, musk and vanilla. Akdeniz is Turkish for the Mediterranean, and it smells like it. Unique'e Luxury Akdeniz — $249 / 100 ml
Unique'e Luxury Beril (2019)
Mandarin, lemon, pink pepper and coriander over cardamom, thyme, nutmeg and cinnamon, closing on rose, jasmine, patchouli, vetiver, amber and musk. A spice cabinet with flowers underneath. Unique'e Luxury Beril — $279 / 100 ml
Unique'e Luxury Kutay (2019)
Bergamot, lemon and whiskey up top, davana, nagarmotha and agarwood in the heart, caramel, sandalwood, tobacco, amber and vanilla below. Nagarmotha is an Indian grass root that smells of smoke and dry earth. Unique'e Luxury Kutay — $279 / 100 ml
Unique'e Luxury Chocolate Makes Me Happy (2019)
Chocolate and cocoa with grapefruit, mandarin and lavender, then ginger, cinnamon, labdanum, olibanum and vetiver, then sandalwood, caramel, coffee, musk and amber. The citrus and incense stop it collapsing into a dessert. Unique'e Luxury Chocolate Makes Me Happy — $249 / 100 ml
Unique'e Luxury Soscentific (2019)
Osmanthus, grapefruit, orange blossom and cherry over pink pepper, jasmine, plum and peach, finishing on strawberry, cedarwood, amber, musk and vanilla. Osmanthus gives it an apricot-leather edge most fruity scents lack. Unique'e Luxury Soscentific — $249 / 100 ml
Unique'e Luxury Beverly Hills Exclusive (2021)
Bergamot, clary sage and cardamom, then rose, orris and honey, then tobacco, tonka bean, ambergris and sandalwood. The tobacco-and-honey pairing is the most classical thing the house makes. Unique'e Luxury Beverly Hills Exclusive — $279 / 100 ml
Unique'e Luxury Crush On Me (2021)
Lime, ginger and orris up front, magnolia, saffron and rose in the heart, caramel, patchouli, woods, musk and amber below. Lime and caramel is an odd opening and it works. Unique'e Luxury Crush On Me — $349 / 100 ml
Unique'e Luxury Mashumaro (2023)
Marshmallow, cashmeran and milk, then incense, caramel and musk, then lily-of-the-valley, rose, praline and vanilla. The incense is what makes it wearable rather than sickly, and wearers report unusually long wear. Unique'e Luxury Mashumaro — $379 / 100 ml
Unique'e Luxury Zen'gi (2023)
Grapefruit, bergamot and olibanum over wine, pink pepper and vanilla, landing on patchouli, vetiver, cedarwood and amber. Fragrantica has it at 4.25 out of 5 from 310 votes, the best-rated thing the house makes, and it is also the most expensive bottle we carry from them. Unique'e Luxury Zen'gi — $419 / 100 ml
Unique'e Luxury Mangonifiscent (2023)
Mango, bergamot, geranium and vanilla, then honey, rose, jasmine and sandalwood, then patchouli, oakmoss, musk and amber. Tropical fruit over a mossy base rather than a sweet one. Unique'e Luxury Mangonifiscent — $349 / 100 ml
Unique'e Luxury Woud & Mood Absolute (2024)
Citrus, herbal notes and saffron, then labdanum, patchouli and guaiac wood, then leather, agarwood, nagarmotha, musk and amber. The most serious oud in the range. Unique'e Luxury Woud & Mood Absolute — $379 / 100 ml
Unique'e Luxury Ocean The Rive (2025)
Citrus and bergamot over basil, blue chamomile and armoise, closing on cashmeran, musk and amber. A short list and a clean one, composed by Gokhan Simsek. Unique'e Luxury Ocean The Rive — $349 / 100 ml
Unique'e Luxury Chicelle (2026)
Strawberry, apple, peony and iris, then rose and jasmine, then praline, sugar and musk. The newest release, the only 50 ml bottle, the cheapest entry, and also by Gokhan Simsek. Unique'e Luxury Chicelle — $229 / 50 ml
Unique'e Luxury D'olcezza (2026)
Red berries and pimento over coconut and jasmine, closing on sugar, vanilla and musk. Pimento against coconut is the whole trick, and it keeps the sweetness from going flat. Unique'e Luxury D'olcezza — $349 / 100 ml

Which Unique'e Luxury fragrance should you choose?
Start with Istanbul at $249. It is one of the five originals from 2018, the black-tea-and-toffee structure is the clearest statement of what this house does, and it is wearable in an office in a way most of the range is not. If you want the cheapest way in, Chicelle is $229 for 50 ml and the newest release.
Skip Zen'gi as a first purchase. It is the best-rated thing they make and also $419, and it rewards already knowing the house. Skip Chocolate Makes Me Happy if you already own Mashumaro — both are gourmands built on caramel and they overlap more than the note lists suggest, and Mashumaro is the stronger of the two.
For warm weather the range narrows to three: Akdeniz, Ocean The Rive and Izmir. For cold weather it widens to almost everything else, which tells you where this house's centre of gravity sits. And if oud is what you are after, Woud & Mood Absolute is the serious one — our guide to the best oud perfumes puts it against the rest of the oud collection.
Frequently asked questions
What is Unique'e Luxury?
Unique'e Luxury is an independent fragrance house that describes itself as Turkish-American and dates its founding to 2017. Its defining decision is concentration: in its own words, 'Every Unique'e Luxury fragrance is created as an Extrait de Parfum.' There is no eau de parfum tier and no flanker system. Redolia stocks 19 of them, from $229 to $419.
Is Unique'e Luxury worth it?
At $229 to $419 it is priced against established niche, and what you get for it is extrait concentration on every bottle rather than on a premium tier. Community reviews consistently report above-average longevity and projection across the line, with Mashumaro and Zen'gi the two most often singled out. The counter-argument is that several of the gourmands sit close together, so sample before buying the expensive ones.
What is the best Unique'e Luxury fragrance?
By community rating it is Zen'gi, which Fragrantica scores at 4.25 out of 5 from 310 votes - grapefruit and olibanum over wine and pink pepper, landing on patchouli, vetiver and cedarwood. By what people actually ask us for it is Aphrodisiac Touch, the spiced floral amber from the original 2018 group. They are very different fragrances and both are worth smelling.
Does Unique'e Luxury last long?
Generally yes, and that is the point of the house making everything at extrait strength. Extrait de parfum is the highest standard concentration in perfumery, usually 20 to 40 percent aromatic compound against the 15 to 20 percent of an eau de parfum. Reviewers describe Mashumaro's wear time in particular as extraordinary, though the same reviewers warn it is not a subtle fragrance.
Is Unique'e Luxury unisex?
Yes. All 19 fragrances we carry are sold without gender and the house does not split its line. Chicelle and Soscentific lean conventionally feminine and Kutay and Woud & Mood Absolute conventionally masculine, but that is how they wear rather than how they are marketed.
Which Unique'e Luxury smells most like a gourmand?
Mashumaro is the obvious one - marshmallow, milk and praline over incense and caramel. Chocolate Makes Me Happy is the other, and it is the more grown-up of the two because grapefruit and olibanum cut the cocoa. Istanbul is the sleeper: black tea and toffee rather than sugar, and the easiest of the three to wear to work.
What does Akdeniz mean?
Akdeniz is the Turkish name for the Mediterranean Sea, and the fragrance is built to match - marine notes, lemon, grapefruit, lavandin and thyme over apple, pineapple and myrtle, with cedarwood, sandalwood, leather and musk underneath. Izmir, another of the house's names, is the Turkish port city on that coast.
Which Unique'e Luxury should I try first?
Chicelle at $229 for 50 ml is the cheapest way in and the newest release. Istanbul at $249 is the better first bottle if you want something with more character, and it is one of the five originals from 2018. Skip Zen'gi as a first purchase - at $419 it is the most expensive thing they make and it rewards knowing the house first.
All 19 are in stock and ship from New Jersey. Extrait concentration means a little goes further than you expect, so one spray is usually the right starting dose. The full range sits on our Unique'e Luxury collection, the two newest are by Gökhan Şimşek on our perfumer pages, and all 19 bottles are open on the counter at our Somerville, New Jersey boutique.
