Violaine Collas

Violaine Collas is a contemporary French perfumer with a taste for rich, fruity-woody textures and a knack for making leather and spice feel luminous rather than heavy. Her work at Redolia Perfumery spans two very different houses, which makes this page a useful way to trace a single creative hand across contrasting styles.

For the South Korean niche house BORNTOSTANDOUT, Violaine composed Black Mango Extrait Extrême, an amber-woody scent in which honeyed mango and orange settle onto oud, leather, sandalwood and cypriol. For the Parisian house BDK Parfums she created Crème de Cuir Eau de Parfum, a creamy, bright take on leather opened by pineapple and grapefruit, and the woody floral Pas Ce Soir Eau de Parfum, with its pear, ginger and mandarin opening, alongside the deeper Pas Ce Soir Extrait de Parfum.
