Lorenzo Pazzaglia

Lorenzo Pazzaglia is an Italian niche house founded in 2021 in Le Marche by a self-taught perfumer who trained first as a chef. He grew up in Cagli among the smells of his family's restaurant, and that kitchen logic never left the work: his fragrances are built the way a dish is built, around a dominant flavour idea that is seasoned, balanced and then pushed further than most houses would dare.

Every release is an extrait de parfum produced artisanally in Italy. Concentration is the point. Where a designer eau de toilette might carry 8–12% perfume oil, these sit far higher, which is why they are known among collectors for sillage that fills a room and longevity measured in workdays rather than hours. Newcomers should apply roughly half of what they think they need.

Olfactively the house is unapologetically maximalist and frequently gourmand: rum, vanilla, roasted coffee, tropical fruit, praline and warm spice, cut with musks, resins and salt so they read as perfume rather than dessert. Marine and rose compositions sit alongside the sweeter work, and the naming is as playful as the juice.

The house's reputation was sealed at the 2024 ScentXplore People's Choice Awards, where Pazzaglia took Rising Star Perfumer and Sun-Gria was named Fragrance of the Year.
