Christian Provenzano

Christian Provenzano is the perfumer behind the Sospiro collection, around 80 Boadicea the Victorious fragrances and Clive Christian V and C. Born in Casablanca in 1953, he joined CPL Aromas as senior perfumer in 1989 and became its first Master Perfumer in 2021, and is recognised for distinctive and often bold creations. His work demonstrates masterful command of rich, resonant raw materials—oud, amber, resins and spices—combined into compositions of considerable depth and longevity. He is particularly noted for his rich interpretations of oriental and woody accords, where potent ingredients are balanced with precision to achieve fragrances that remain powerful yet refined, never harsh despite their assertive character.

Provenzano's approach favours luxurious textures and intricate layering of notes, frequently pairing lush florals with resins and balms to create fragrances with substantial presence.
