The heart brings iris and a violet accord, and this is where it becomes beautiful rather than merely striking — iris is rooty, cool and powdery, violet adds a sweet, almost candied lift, and together they give the fragrance its characteristic suede-and-face-powder texture. The base is ambroxan and white musk: ambroxan supplies the salty, mineral radiance that makes it project from the skin, and white musk keeps the finish clean and soft.
